Psychological Consultation
What is the difference between psychological consultations and psychotherapy?
Psychological consultations typically focus on support with current difficulties, improving well-being, and finding practical solutions. They may include shorter sessions and techniques aimed at strengthening personal resources.
Psychotherapy is a deeper, long-term process conducted by a psychotherapist within a specific approach (e.g., cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic). Its goal is to create lasting changes in thinking, emotional experience, and functioning, often involving work with past experiences.
Which therapeutic approaches do we use?
Each of us primarily works within the Third Wave of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), as well as mindfulness techniques. Couples therapy is conducted using a systemic approach and incorporating Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
What is the recommended frequency of sessions, and how long do psychological consultations usually last?
The frequency of sessions depends on the individual’s needs and availability. Regular meetings are generally recommended every week or every two weeks to fully engage in the process and see results as efficiently as possible. The duration of consultations is also tailored to the client’s needs and typically concludes once the agreed-upon goals have been achieved.
Does it make sense to have sessions once a month?
Monthly sessions can be useful as psychological support, particularly when someone occasionally needs to talk, reflect on recent situations, or gain a new perspective on their thoughts. However, in cases of mental health crises, weekly or biweekly sessions are recommended.
When should I consider booking a psychological consultation?
It is worth scheduling a consultation if you feel that difficulties in daily life, emotions, or relationships are starting to interfere with you, if you are experiencing stress, anxiety, sadness, lack of motivation, or if you need support in making decisions related to your mental health.

Can I reveal my secrets under hypnosis?

ADHD Assessment
What does an ADHD assessment involve?
An ADHD assessment is a process typically consisting of 3–4 online sessions, during which a detailed psychological interview is conducted along with the standardized DIVA-5 diagnostic interview. The goal is to provide a thorough evaluation of ADHD symptoms in both childhood and adulthood, as well as their impact on daily functioning.
Is the ADHD assessment conducted online?
Yes. The assessment can be done online, allowing participation regardless of your location and providing comfort and flexibility. In-person sessions are also available in Gdańsk.
How long does the ADHD assessment process take?
The process usually includes 3–4 sessions of 50 minutes each. The number of sessions depends on your individual history and diagnostic needs.
What tools are used in the ADHD assessment?
The primary diagnostic tool is the DIVA-5, a structured clinical interview based on current ADHD diagnostic criteria (DSM-5). This is complemented by a thorough psychological interview.
Will I receive a document after the assessment?
Yes. The process concludes with a written psychological report, including diagnostic conclusions and recommendations for next steps (e.g., psychological support, psychiatric consultation, or strategies for managing daily life).
How can I use the psychological report?
The report can be useful in ongoing therapy, during psychiatric consultations, and for gaining a better understanding of your own challenges and personal strengths.
Is an ADHD diagnosis just a “label”?
No. The purpose of the diagnosis is not to label, but to understand the mechanisms behind the difficulties often experienced by people with ADHD, such as problems with concentration, organization, emotional regulation, or overload. For many, it is a clarifying process that brings relief.
How much does an ADHD assessment cost?
The full ADHD assessment (3–4 sessions plus a written report) costs 1300 PLN.
Can I receive further support after the ADHD assessment?
Yes. After the assessment, ongoing collaboration is possible, including psychological support, guidance for daily functioning, or referral to other forms of assistance.
